Cauvery Calling is a first of its kind campaign, setting the standard for how India’s rivers – the country’s lifelines – can be revitalized. It will initiate the revitalization of the Cauvery river and transform the lives of 84 million people. And indirectly the life of each one of us on the planet. Agroforestry is the solution to farmer's suicide rates, fertile land being degraded by pesticides, the river's flowing back with full bloom, bringing back trees to the lands for holding water and getting back our animals. It is an amalgamation of spirituality, science, ecology, food and life. Enough damage has been done in the name of development and colonialism. Let's defeat climate change - one river basin at a time. And if you are wondering, why should I donate a tree for south India? Let me tell you, the carbon emissions of U.S. or China bring heatwaves in Delhi, typhoons in Philipines, extreme cold in Europe - the climate system is integrated.
