This a personal plea about a cause that is close to my heart and one that deeply concerns me. India is reeling under the most alarming water crisis in its history. As you are reading this, every 30 minutes, an Indian farmer commits suicide. 25% of India is turning into a desert. In 15 years, we may have only half the water we need for our survival. Time is running out but there is a way - Cauvery Calling
If we can support farmers plant 2.4 billion Timber Trees on Cauvery basin, we can revive Her and also improve farmers’ income by 300 – 800% in 5 – 7 years as there is a huge demand for Timber furniture in India which we currently import. It will also set the standard for river revitalization in India and other tropical regions of the world. This is an unprecedented movement-nothing like this has ever been attempted before.
We owe it to the next generation to hand over this planet at least as it was handed over to us, not in a destroyed, depleted condition. You can contribute in the following ways:
