Our Girls March On
Isha Vidhya's class 12 batch of 2022 repeated history with a 100% pass result. However, this year, the girls outshone the boys. All the school toppers were girls, and more girls scored a centum and earned a distinction than boys. Their dedication and hard work have paid off, and they are now striving to achieve their individual goals and aspirations. Read on to find out more about their inspiring stories.
Our class 12 batch of 2022 repeated history with a 100% pass result like their predecessors. But this time, the girls outdid the boys – all the school toppers were girls. Of the 397 students, 226 were girls; 20 of 26 students who scored a centum were girls; 186 of 297 students who achieved a distinction were, again, girls.

Intent on Leading
From early on, Bhuvana dreamed of leading a team. She’s currently studying B.Com – Economics and wants to pursue an MBA course subsequently. While she is keen on working at Ashok Leyland, she also plans to take the TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) exam to keep her options open. She says being a class leader in school helped her develop leadership qualities, become a better human being, and make timely decisions.
Taking Account
Lavanya is super interested in math and accountancy. Having stumbled upon an article about chartered accountancy, she was inspired to pursue it. She then researched further about the vocation and knew she had found her calling as an auditor. She credits her mother for motivating her to study regularly and take tests for academic excellence.
Business-Minded
Amritha Gowri has chosen to pursue commerce and accountancy as it will help in her entrepreneurial dreams of setting up a textile business. She also participated in the Entrepreneurship and Leadership Development Program at Isha Vidhya earlier this year.
In parallel, she plans to take the TNPSC exam to fulfill her father’s wish to see her work in a government job and become financially secure.
Veterinary Views
Dashnika is studying Bachelor of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry at Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. Being with animals is second nature to her as she has been around them all her life and wants to know them better by becoming a veterinarian. She hopes to work at the veterinary hospital in her hometown.
Leaning toward Biotechnology
George Church, considered as the ‘Founding Father of Genomics’, inspires Anushree, and she enjoys reading his articles. She is studying B.Tech. at Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore, and wants to pursue research in genetic engineering to know more about human genes. She aspires to work in a government company and use her education for the betterment of the nation.
Student to Professor
Raji is studying mathematics at S. T. Hindu College, Nagercoil. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam inspires her. She wants to eventually teach math in an exemplary institution and wishes to set up a tuition center at her native place to help underprivileged students for free. She says as a class leader, she learned how to deal with students without being rude which helped her build an easy-going rapport with them.
Medically Aligned
Motivated and inspired by her parents, Gopikasree is intent on becoming a doctor and working in the state’s health service department. She is currently preparing for NEET (The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) at a private coaching center. Thanks to her superb class 12 scores and all-out preparation, she is hoping for the best career-wise.
Seeking a Secure Future
Arundevi is pursuing B.Com and plans to take the TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) exam to have a secure government job and take care of her family. Her father is an agricultural day wager and a school dropout. She says, “My parents are uneducated, like most people in my village. So, I made it a point to study and excel academically. One day, I hope to spread the importance of education within my community.”
