From Farm Labor to Life-Changer: Sangeetha’s Story

Sangeetha, once a daily wage laborer, found a fresh start when she joined a Cauvery Calling nursery in 2021

"I am Sangeetha from Vanniyarpalathan village. I joined this nursery in February 2021 and have been very happy in this job for the past 2 ½ years. I feel that I am doing a job which gives me deep fulfillment. I feel that at last I am doing a job which gives me a sense of purpose to my life.

Before this job, I was doing a daily wage job in farming. We do not get regular work in the daily wage job, so we did not earn much. We were in a very poor condition financially. For the past 2 ½ years, after coming to the nursery, I have regular work throughout the month. I earn enough money from this job.

With this income, I take care of my family well. I have progressed very well in these past 2 ½ years. Financially, my family has become more capable and we have earning better. It has given me more confidence and I feel that I can do anything. With this income, I am confident of taking decisions for my family. After coming to Isha nursery, I can say that I am able to eat a full meal. I am able to eat 3 meals a day."
