With over 12,500 farmer queries answered in the past year, the Cauvery Calling Helpline team is now supporting over 30,300 farmers through WhatsApp groups that broadcast event updates and technical information.
Kendagandaswamy, a farmer in Mysuru, points out that the Cauvery River is a source of water for two states, and although people may have differences amongst themselves, the river is impartial. He applauds how #CauveryCalling is using technology to inspire farmers to adopt tree-based farming.
