Manoharan, a farmer from Kallampatti in Pattukottai, shares that his 30-acre coconut grove had 300 teak trees, aged 40 years.
Of these, he sold eight trees to timber vendors to earn Rs. 1,250,000. He also sold 15 more trees to meet the demands of local people and earned an additonal Rs. 1,000,000.
