All players in a team should be from the same gram panchayat or town panchayat. However, any number of teams can participate from the same panchayat. Teams from municipalities and corporations are not eligible for the event.
A team should have a minimum of 7 players and 1 substitute (7+1), and a maximum of 7 players and 5 substitutes (7+5).
Each player can participate in only one team.
The minimum age for participation is 14 years. There is no upper age limit as long as one is physically fit.
According to state regulations, the weight of each player on a team must not exceed 75 kg.
The following players cannot participate in the event:
International players: Played against other international teams on behalf of the Indian team.
National players: Played against other Indian state teams on behalf of the belonging state team.
Appointment players: Any player who has played on a contract basis on behalf of the central or state government and private company teams.
Central & state university players, players selected for integrated universities (South Zone) and Form 3 & 4 players.
If the rules are found to be broken at any level of the tournament, the team will be disqualified.
It is not possible to participate as school, college, university, or reserved teams. Failure to comply will result in the disqualification of the team from any event. However, school, college, and university players can play for their district team.
On match day, each player must bring their original Aadhaar card. The results will be declared only after the verification of all players' ID cards.
If any player on the team fails to show their original Aadhaar card at any stage, the team will be disqualified, and the team in the next place will be declared the winner. No rematches will be held.
Final decisions regarding team participation will be made by the management committee.
Matches will be conducted on a knockout or league basis.
Only team players who were registered for the first match will be able to play in subsequent matches. Team players cannot be changed after the Cluster (first level) match.
The management committee reserves the right to change any matches or match rules at any stage of the tournament.
Players who consume alcohol or drugs will be banned from participating in the tournament.
The main 7 players should arrive at the match venue at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the match.
If any player from a team fails to arrive before the match start time, the opposing team will be declared the winner.
If a team has a complaint against the opposing team or player, proper evidence must be submitted. Only then will action be taken. If the complaint is proven, the offending team or player will be eliminated at any stage, and the team in the next place will be declared the winner. No rematches will be held.
If there is any complaint against the participation of certain players or opposing teams, it must be reported at least three days in advance. Complaints submitted after that will not be considered for action. If the complaint and evidence are proven to be true, necessary action will be taken against the team.
The referee's decision is final.
Violation or non-compliance with the above rules will result in the disqualification of the team.
Note: First-round competitions will be held at the district level, and prizes will be awarded. A district team consisting of the best players from all who participated in the first round will be selected by the Tamil Nadu State Amateur Kabaddi Association selectors for the second round.
General Rules
Assumption of Risk
Participants acknowledge and understand the inherent risks and dangers associated with participating in various sporting events under Isha Gramotsavam. Participants voluntarily assume all risks of personal injury, property damage, or other harm that may occur during the tournament.
Waiver and Release of Liability
Participants, on behalf of themselves, their heirs, executors, and assigns, release and discharge the tournament organizers, sponsors, volunteers, officials, and all related parties from any and all liability for injuries, damages, or losses arising from their participation in the tournament.
Indemnification
Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the tournament organizers, sponsors, volunteers, officials, and all related parties from any claims, demands, lawsuits, or actions arising from their participation in the tournament. Participants also agree to reimburse the tournament organizers for any costs or expenses incurred as a result of defending against such claims or actions.
Medical Treatment
Participants consent to receive necessary medical treatment or emergency care in the event of an injury during the tournament. Participants agree to bear all costs associated with medical treatment and assume all responsibility for any consequences arising from such treatment.
Code of Conduct
Participants agree to adhere to the tournament's rules, regulations, and code of conduct as prescribed by the organizers. Participants acknowledge that failure to comply with the rules and regulations may result in their removal from the tournament without any liability on the part of the organizers.
