માટીમાં સંગ્રહિત કાર્બન જીવંત છોડમાંના કાર્બન કરતાં 3 ગણો અને વાતાવરણમાંના કાર્બન કરતાં 2 ગણો છે, જેનો અર્થ છે કે કાર્બન સંગ્રહ કરવા માટે માટી ખુબ મહત્વની છે.
