For five years now, Isha Mumbai volunteers have been clocking miles at the Mumbai Marathon for Isha Vidhya. This year, the volunteer runners raised close to INR 1 crore (~200,000 USD) through their fundraising efforts. The team bagged the 3rd place in fundraising amongst the 200 NGOs. They were honored at a special “Charity Awards Night,” by the organizers of the Mumbai Marathon – Procam and United Way of Mumbai.
A few other feathers in their cap:
The Isha Vidhya team also had the highest number of fundraisers.
The award for the “Highest Fundraiser” in the Dream Wizard Category (for individuals who commit to raise a minimum of INR 5 lacs in pledges) was bagged by 16-year-old Isha Jain from the Mumbai team.
