The remarkable 100% pass result posted by our recent Class 12 alumni bears testimony to their conscious efforts to pursue their goals. Of the 387 students, 223 were girl students, 247 students scored distinction marks, and 287 studied on scholarships.
In this blog, read the school toppers sharing their dreams and what motivated them to excel.
“Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam inspired me to dream of working as a rocket scientist at ISRO. I put in my best efforts to become a topper, make a name for myself at my school, and pursue my ambition. I am now studying B.E. Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering, Guindy.”
“I want to become a cost accountant because it is a well-paying job, and this motivated me to do well. My sponsored school education was helpful, and my Class 12 scores secured me a partial scholarship at college. I am studying B.Com with Cost and Management Accounting at PSG College of Arts and Science and will be the first graduate in my family.”
“I focused on my studies to get top marks because I want to be successful in life. I am studying B. Tech. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science at Anna University, Regional Campus Coimbatore. I chose AI as it will give me immense scope to grow professionally.”
“Technology fascinates me with how it is applied to solve real-world problems. Scoring well in Class 12 was crucial to getting a good start and planning my career as a software engineer. I am currently pursuing a B.E. in CSE at Sri Krishna College of Engineering & Technology.”
“Wanting to work as an engineer in a reputed company made me study diligently. I feel elated that my parents are proud of my achievement, especially since they have studied only up to Class 10. I am studying Engineering in Production Technology at Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai.”

“Aiming to top would have been stressful, so I was just studying at a comfortable pace, but when a teacher prodded me, I began studying in earnest. My family lauded my efforts and were thrilled at my results as I am the first college-goer in my family - my father could study only up to Class 4. I am now pursuing a B.E. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Chennai Institute of Technology.”
“Wanting to study Electronic and Communication Engineering was my motivation to do well in Class 12, and I am now studying at University V.O.C. College of Engineering, Thoothukudi. As a software engineer, I hope to develop digital tools that can help rural students like me.”
“I want to become a doctor because I hold the profession in high esteem, and like doctors, wish to be of service to society. Although I felt I could have done better in my Class 12 exams, I am happy with my scores because they qualify me to sit for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). I am now preparing diligently for NEET, and my career plan is a tribute to my mother’s hard work and struggles.”

Isha Vidhya constantly strives to nurture the hidden talents of its students, in addition to providing them with quality education. Recently, around 80 Isha Vidhya students and alumni participated in 'Pitch Fest' organized by Moonshot Jr's Entrepreneurship and Leadership Development Program (ELDP). Their ideas ranged from a Gardening app providing consultations, tips and tricks, to apps like 'Uvarpu', addressing mental health needs in the prevailing pandemic situation, and Clean O2, an app to monitor pollution in real time and make the user aware of how long they are spending in polluted areas. All the pitches were very well-received and two of them were runners up in the event.
