When students join Isha Vidhya, it is with the hope of getting good education that will lead to a better life. Over time, with acquired knowledge and encouragement from their teachers, their future pursuits become crystalized.

“I gave my first salary to my mother.”

Nantha Kumari’s father passed away when she was four. She studied on a scholarship. Having completed her B.Pharma, she now works in quality assurance at Sahana Pharmaceuticals, Kanyakumari, and supports her family. She aspires to work as a quality assurance manager at Cipla or Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, and is keen to take the Dubai Health Authority exam and work as a pharmacist there.

“I cleared 25% of my father’s debts with my first salary.”

Dharmaraj is living his dream – he works at Wipro Technologies Ltd, Bengaluru, as a Network Engineer. He chose Wipro over Infosys and Byju’s during campus selection and is concurrently pursuing M.Tech remotely at BITS Pilani Dubai Campus, with financial support from his employer.

Dharmaraj acknowledges the role of his alma mater in shaping him, and is especially grateful for the scholarship he was offered.

“I bought clothes for my parents with my first salary.”

Keerthivasan graduated in chemical engineering from Kongu Engineering College, Erode, and is currently a trainee at Cameron Schlumberger, Coimbatore. He wants to work in the cement industry as he sees a good scope to learn and grow in the field.

At college, Keerthivasan was part of the National Service Scheme (NSS), the English Proficiency Club, and a member of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers. He says Isha Vidhya made him more confident, helping him lead in team projects and present papers in English.

“I donated my first salary to the temple.”

Vidhya Sagar is working as a Quality Engineer at ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India, Chennai for over a year and supports his family financially. He studied Aeronautical Engineering at Hindustan Institute of Technology, Coimbatore.

Vidhya Sagar says Yoga, English, sports, and teachers, who gave individual attention to students, at his alma mater helped him do well in his career.

I bought new clothes for my family, donated to SOS Children’s Village of India, and saved the remaining money.”

Surya Babu is working as an associate in the retail team at Amazon Development Center, Chennai, and opted for the job as it is related to networking.

He takes full ownership of his career decisions and attributes his self-confidence and sense of responsibility to his alma mater.

“I spent my first salary on riding my bike.” 

Sharath is working at The Mangifera, Bandipur, since a year after completing a course at Annamal Institute of Hotel Management, Chennai. He enjoys cooking and has set his sights on becoming a restaurant manager someday at a five-star hotel.

Sharath is a single-parent child who supports his mother financially. He is grateful for the values he picked up at his alma mater and its peaceful atmosphere.
