Isha Vidhya Vanavasi school celeberated its sports day on 25.11.2011.The CEO of JSW- Salem Works, Mr.Ravichanderan was invited as the chief guest.

The function started at around 10.30am with an invocation. This was followed by flag hoisting, march past and torch lighting. A colourful dance performed by the UKG children was worth watching, which was followed by mass drill and aerobics. After the individual athletics events which saw children and parents cheering the kids enthusiastically, it was time for the parents and teachers to have some fun too. A lively atmosphere prevailed with active participation in the games held for parents and teachers as well.

The chief guest distributed the prizes to the winners and planted a sapling within the school premises.

Impressed by the school infrastructure, the wide range of activities and enthusiasm of the children as well as parents, the chief guest expressed his delight at seeing such a school in that rural area. He then proceeded to make a donation of high quality reference books worth Rs.10000 to the school library.
