Action for Rural Rejuvenation, provides rural healthcare at people's doorsteps through Mobile Health Clinics (MHCs). The MHCs each have a team of physicians, pharmacists, medical aides, drivers and a few volunteers who offer free primary, minor emergency care and health education to 6 to 7 villages a day. They visit the same village once a week and treats around 2000 patients every month.
How We Do It
The Problem
Lack of access to affordable quality healthcare, especially for the elderly and woman. Additionally, due to lack of awareness about simple health issues can easily turn into complications.
Our Solution
MHCs are specially designed all-terrain vehicles equipped to service the medical needs of remote rural populations deprived of basic health care facilities. Each MHC is equipped with basic healthcare facilities, medicines and alternative remedies for chronic diseases. Doctors prescribe home remedies whenever needed. Herbal and kitchen gardens are also promoted. Health awareness camps are also conducted throughout the year to increase the overall health of the rural populations.
