At the Cauvery Calling mega-conference in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, that drew over 10,000 farmer-participants, Bharat’s Union Agriculture Minister, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, embraced a change that Sadhguru and Cauvery Calling have championed for years: dropping the word "agroforestry" in favor of "tree-based farming."

Subsequently, the Hon’ble Minister publicly announced the renaming to allay the long-held fears of farmers that the word "forest" would create legal restrictions on harvesting their own timber, and encouraged them to take up tree-based agriculture.

Sadhguru welcomed this landmark decision from the Hon’ble Minister:
