Tamil Nadu Traditional Plantation Drive Across 83 Villages

On #WorldEnvironmentDay, #SaveSoil volunteers planted Peepal trees across Tamil Nadu as part of the One Village – One Peepal Tree movement.

This isn’t just about planting trees — it’s about reviving a sacred tradition where the Peepal tree stood at the heart of every village.

On #WorldEnvironmentDay, Cauvery Calling volunteers planted over 500 native saplings across 83 villages in Tamil Nadu — but this was more than a tree-planting drive.

As part of the One Village – One Peepal Tree initiative, we revived a time-honored tradition where the Peepal (Sacred Fig) tree once stood at the heart of Tamil Nadu's village life — offering shade, sanctity, and community.

With the support of legislators, Forest Department officials, and local volunteers, this was a step toward rebuilding our ecological and cultural roots.

One tree, one village, one sacred tradition — restored.

World Environment Day with Purpose in Karnataka

40+ volunteers from Sadhguru Sannidhi Bengaluru center carried out a powerful hillside cleanup — removing 40 bags of plastic waste in support of this year’s theme: Beat Plastic Pollution.

The day also kicked off a month-long campaign across 22 villages, led by Hasiru Chikkaballapura, featuring plastic awareness sessions, sapling distribution, and workshops focused on women and youth.

From waste to awareness — real change begins at the grassroots.
